The Core Team

"Zorro"
Male, 9 years old. The main dog that makes up my kennel. He has been the stud in my kennel since he was a yearling. The team I have right now is based around him. He is the backbone to my success and I owe it all to him.

"Battel"
Male. 4 years old. He is literally something you can find at the pound. He has some LAb in him, he is out of my house dog. He is a complete accident. He is the other leader who lead me out of Anchorage & Willow for the 2007 Iditarod. He is a ball of fire, he is a very energetic little dog.

"Boycuz"
Male. Named "Boycuz" because I could not think of anything else to name him. 3 years old. A team dog, strong, powerful male. He has not run a whole lot, although this year he ran both the Quest and the Iditarod. He goes back to some of Andre Nadeau bloodlines, on one side, Andre came over from Qubec, Canada. Old Emmit Peters stuff on the female side. His background goes back a long way in racing bloodlines.

"Fudge"
Female. 4 years old. One of the few females that made the cut. Last year she also was my single lead in the Kobuk 440, she has also ran in the Sheep Mountain 150. Her dad is Zorro, and her mother is named Risben out of Jeff Kings kennel. Risben goes back to Jenna, she is pretty well known. Just a fine little leader, she is mouthy and she thinks she is queen of the kennel, but she is really not, she is just a nice little girl.

"Hansom"
Male. 3 years old. One of my new leaders. He comes from my dad's old bloodlines, in 1978, he had a dog named "Skip", one of his main leaders. Last year he started the Quest and didn't quite finish it, this year he made it all the way to Nome and di the Quest.

"Hobo"
Male. 5 years old. My main leader, hard driving, very energetic, most aggresive eater. Zorro is his father, Lippy is his sister. He ran in every race this year. The Sheep Mountain, the Kusko, the Quest and the Iditarod. He has run every race I have run in the past 3 years. I don't believe he ahs ever been dropped, with the exception of once when he was a yearling. Justa super star in my mind.

"Larry"

6 years old. He is my main leader. Three time Golden Harness winner, 2 Yukon Quests, Iditarod. In 6 years he has never been dropped from a race, he has run just about every race I have done, Sheep Mountain 150, through to the Yukon Quest and Iditarod this year. He is the Super star of the team. He goes back to some Chuck Schaeffer bloodlines that originate in Kotzebue. Chuck had a dog named Herbie, it came from Nome. Herbie is Larry's grandfather.

"Lippy"
Female. 5 years old. Hobo's sister. She is my new shinning star, she all of a sudden this year decided she wanted to be a leader. She went with me to the Sheep Mountain 150 , Kusko and she led me in the Quest & Iditarod. Two golden harnesses. She did not win one for the 2007 Iditarod, but she finished in lead with me. In my mind, she deserved it, but Larry was the only one nominated for it. A very big female 60lb, hard driving, good eater. Just an all around good dog, obviously my new leader. She is mostly leg,. She has never been dropped. She has some sprint lines in her on the female side from Gopher Lord, out of Nenana, his stuff goes way back to Gareth Wright, George Attla, Clyde Mayo, Marvin Kokrine. That is why she has a houndier look, flop ears as opposed to the husky look.

"Rapper"

Male. 3 years old. Just a team dog, but he is like the Energizer Bunny, he is an amazing animal as far as his attitude and appetite. Zorro is his father. Raced in the 2007 Cantwell Classic, Yukon Quest & Iditarod. His mother is from Emmit Peters' bloodlines.
