CAIN CARTER
Living in Fox, Alaska. Cain Carter, 16, has several mid
distance sled dog races under his belt already.
He ran his first Jr. Iditarod in 2006 placing 14th, in
2007 he ran the Jr. Cantwell Classic placing 4th, the
2007 Jr. Iditarod placing 13th and in February of 2008
he completed his 3rd Jr. Iditarod placing 2nd.
Cain became interested in mushing from watching and helping
his step father, Lance Mackey train the "Comeback
Kennel".
Cain is home schooled and is in 10th grade. He says he
enjoys skate boarding, listening to music, running dogs
and riding a dirt bike. When he is old enough, he wants
to run the Iditarod. He says he will continue mushing
after he finishes high school.
